celahkotaNEWS.com || DUMAI – Calon Wakil Walikota Dumai Syarifah akan melanjutkan perjuangan dan amanah Calon Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo yang wafat Rabu (25/11/2020). Mulai dari memenangkan kontestasi Pilkada Kota Dumai 2020 sampai mewujudkan cita-cita dan mimpi besar almarhum jika pasangan Eko Suharjo – Syarifah dipercaya meneraju Kota Dumai 5 tahun mendatang.
“Selama dirawat, mas Eko Suharjo terus berkomunikasi dengan saya. Memberikan semangat kepada saya dan seluruh relawan dan simpatisan untuk terus bergerak. Jangan pernah kendor meskipun Mas Eko tidak bersama kita,” kata Syarifah, Rabu (25/11/2020) malam.
Wakil Walikota yang juga Calon Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo Berpulang ke Rahmatullah pada Rabu (25/11) sekitar pukul 02.15 WIB. Eko Suharjo tutup usia di umur 46 tahun di Rumah Sakit Awal Bros Panam Pekanaru.
Eko Suharjo yang meninggalkan satu orang istri dan tiga orang anak sebelumnya sempat di rawat intensif terkait Covid-19 di Awal Bros Panam sejak tanggal 7 November 2020. Setelah menjalani isolasi dan perawatan intensif, dinyatakan negatif Covid 19 pada 13 November 2020.
Meski sudah dinyatakan negatif, Eko Suharjo masih harus menjalani isolasi. Disamping itu masih ada penyakit bawaan diabetes dan jantung yang memerlukan perawatan intensif.
Pada Sabtu, 21 November 2020 kondisi kesehatannya kembali memburuk dan harus dirawat di ruangan HCU. Pada Rabu (25/11/2020) dinihari sekira pukul 02.15 WIB menghembuskan nafas terakhir.
“Mas Eko Suharjo berulang kali menyampaikan, ini bukan soal Eko dan Syarifah. Tapi mimpi-mimpi besar dan keinginan masyarakat yang diperoleh dari masukan dan kenginan masyarakat yang disampaikan kepada kami. Yang kemudian kami tuangkan dalam visi misi kami jika terpilih sebagai walikota dan wakil walikota,” papar Syarifah dengan mata berkaca-kaca.
Bahkan dua hari sebelum wafat, almarhum Eko Suharjo berpesan agar Syarifah mengambil peran lebih besar. Menjadi wakil sekaligus walikota saat sosialisasi visi misi Eko Suharjo – Syarifah. Yang diwujudkan melakukan sosialisasi rata – rata 10 titik setiap hari.
“Pesan itu saya terima 2 jam sebelum almarhum wafat lewat sahabat almarhum yang menemani almarhum saat dirawat di rumah sakit. Ini seperti memberi firasat agar jangan bergantung pada beliau. Bahwa beliau akan pergi untuk selamanya. Meninggalkan kita semua,” ujar Syarifah berlinang air mata.
Syarifah menyebut almarhum Eko Suharjo bukan sekedar kolega politik. Pertemuan dan ikatan mereka di Pilkada Dumai 2020 bukan hanya karena ingin maju sebagai calon walikota dan wakil walikota.
“Tapi sudah seperti abang kandung. Guru politik saya. Orang tuanya juga sudah seperti orang tua kandung saya. Saya dipanggil ndoek (panggilan sayang untuk anak perempuan) oleh orang tua almarhum. Seperti anak kesayangan,” kata Syarifah.
Perjuangan berpasangan maju sebagai calon walikota dan wakil walikota bukan seketika. Melainkan melalui proses panjang berbilang bulan. Yang kemudian mereka diusung Partai Demokrat, Partai Hanura dan Partai Golkar. Mendapatkan nomor urut 2.
Diawali dengan kesamaan keinginan sebagai anak watan yang sama-sama ingin membangun Kota Dumai. Sama-sama mempunyai keinginan agar tanah kelahiran mereka lebih baik di masa yang akan datang.
Usaha-usaha itu diawali dengan sama-sama berjuang mendapatkan partai pendukung. Bersama-sama turun ke grass root untuk menampung aspirasi masyarakat. Yang kemudian dituangkan dalam visi misi kami Eko Suharjo.
“Kami memiliki kesamaan mimpi. Kesamaan pandangan dalam membangun Kota Dumai. Karena kami sama-sama lahir dan dibesarkan di Kota Dumai. Tahu benar perkembangan Kota Dumai. Kini, tanpa mas Eko Suharjo, saya akan tunaikan mimpi-mimpi besar mewujudkan Kota Dumai yang lebih baik, kota Dumai yang Gemilang,” katanya.
Mimpi besar itu antara lain mewujudkan infrastruktur yang terkoneksi antar wilayah. Karena masih banyak kawasan yang seharusnya dekat tapi sulit ditempuh. Diantaranya dengan membangun jalan poros Bukitkapur – Medang Kampai dan menuntaskan Jalan Parit Kitang. “Termasuk menuntaskan proyek air bersih yang tengah berjalan saat ini,” katanya.
Kemudian menjadikan bandar bakau sebagai laboratorium mangrove dunia, membangun stadion dan gelanggang olahraga bertaraf internasional, membangun gedung kesenian berikut support anggaran untuk seni dan budaya, menjadikan kawasan bukit gelanggang dan sekitar sebagai landmark kota, kantor walikota lama sebagai pusat pelayanan terpadu dan membangun Islamic Centre.
“Kami juga mempunyai visi yang sama soal kesulitan masyarakat pra sejahtera. Kami wujudkan nantinya dengan kartu Dumai Gemilang,” lanjut Syarifah.
Lewat kartu itu, masyarakat pra sejahtera bisa mendapatkan beras gratis, seragam sekolah tiap tahun ajaran baru, sertifikasi keahlian bagi warga agar mudah mendapatkan pekerjaan, beasiswa hingga perguruan tinggi dan kemudahan akses layanan kesehatan gratis.
“Tanpa Mas Eko, kami akan terus berjuang mewujudkan mimpi besar almarhum dan kita semua. Kami akan bekerja keras tanpa lelah mewujudkan itu semua,” pungkas Syarifah. (ckn)
