“Berada di sini ( Pekanbaru) ada nostalgia tersendiri bagi saya”
Celahkotanews.com || PEKANBARU – Menko Polhukam lutut Binsar Pandjaitan, Rabu (2/3/2016) melakukan kunjungan kerja (kunker) ke Pekanbaru, Riau. Menginjakkan kaki di Bumi Lancang Kuning, Luhut serasa pulang ke kampung halamannya.
Ya, Kota Pekanbaru bukanlah tempat yang asing bagi Luhut. Semasa kecil purnawirawan Jendral TNI ini menghabiskan waktu pendidikan tingkat SMP dan SMA di Kota Bertuah ini.
Ia pernah bermukim di kawasan Rumbai, tepatnya di kawasan komplek Chevron.
“Berada di sini ada nostalgia tersendiri bagi saya. Sejak berumur tiga tahun saya sudah dibawa ibu saya merantau ke Riau, karena Ayah saya bekerja di Caltex (Sekarang Chevron),” ujarnya.
Luhut juga mengenang masa remaja di Kota Bertuah, dimana sering berenang di Sungai Siak yang disebutnya dulu bersih dari pencemaran.
Bahkan, Luhut mengaku pernah menjadi atlet renang andalan Riau di PON.
“Saya juga pernah mewakili Riau di PON Bandung untuk renang, waktu itu Sungai Siak masih bersih, disana saya latihan, makanya Riau ini Nostalgia dalam diri saya,”pungkasnya.
Tak sampai di situ, Luhut juga mengungkapkan hubungan pertemanan dirinya dengan Plt Gubri Arsyadjuliandi Rachman yang sudah dikenalnya sejak masih remaja.
“Kedua bapak kami berteman, cuma sekarang dua-dua sudah out (Meninggal),” tandas Luhut.(HR)
