CELAHKOTANEWS.COM||DUMAI-Harga cabai keriting merah asal Bukit Tinggi Sumatera Barat yang dijual pedagang di pasar tradisional Kota Dumai, Riau capai Rp100 ribu per kilogram akibat persediaan terbatas.
Warga pembeli di Kota Dumai Tia mengaku kaget ketika mengetahui harga cabai dijual Rp100 ribu per kilogram di pasar tradisional Bunda Sri Mersing di Jalan Hasanuddin, padahal tiga hari lalu masih Rp65 ribu sampai 70 ribu per kilo.
“Kaget juga baru tahu harga cabai Rp100 ribu per kilogram, dan terpaksa hanya beli beberapa ons saja untuk kebutuhan masak di rumah,” kata Tia.
Kenaikan harga cabai ini tentu saja tidak diinginkan masyarakat dan menurut pedagang karena stok terbatas dari daerah asal sehingga tidak mencukupi permintaan konsumen.
Tia berharap harga cabai merah ini tidak terus menerus naik dan kembali normal agar mudah terjangkau konsumen dan tidak memberatkan.
“Hanya harga cabai saja yang naik dan kita kuatirkan bahan lain tidak ikutan melonjak, diharap segera normal dan terjangkau kembali,” ucapnya.
Kepala Bidang Perdagangan Dinas Perindag Dumai Kamaruddin mengatakan kenaikan harga komoditi cabai merah ini terjadi juga di beberapa daerah lain karena faktor cuaca penghujan dan serangan hama di lahan pertanian masyarakat di daerah pemasok.
Kondisi cuaca ini membuat produksi cabai merah tidak sesuai target dan stok terbatas di tengah konsumen, sehingga harga di pasaran ikut naik.
“Faktor cuaca belakangan ini membuat pertanian cabai merah kurang produksi, sedangkan jalur distribusi tetap lancar tidak ada masalah,” kata Kamaruddin.(anr/ckn)
