Merdeka.com – Mantan Kepala BIN Hendropriyono bertemu dengan Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) di Kantor Presiden. Usai pertemuan, Hendro mengaku tidak mendapat tawaran posisi atau tugas khusus dari Presiden Jokowi.
Hendro berkilah, daripada dirinya yang dipilih untuk menjabat posisi tertentu, lebih baik Jokowi menunjuk kaum muda.
“Banyak sekarang ini kaum muda yang potensial dan lebih bagus daripada saya. Jadi sudah waktunya orang-orang muda ini ikut dalam barisannya Pak Jokowi, Pak Presiden supaya sukses memimpin negeri kita. Begitu, jangan pakai saya yang tua,” ujarnya di Kantor Presiden, Jakarta, Senin (5/12).
Namun, saat ditegaskan lagi jika Presiden Jokowi menawarkan jabatan atau tugas khusus kepadanya apakah akan diterimanya?
“Gak ada yang menolak memang ada yang nawarin? Gak ada, saya mau menjawab pertanyaan kalian kan siap gak ditawari jabatan, ya saya jawab kan gak lucu orang itu kalau umur 30 tahun yang bagus, apa gak malu (saya)?” ujarnya.
Pada pertemuan yang berlangsung kurang dari 2 jam itu Hendro mengaku hanya menyampaikan kondisi kesehatannya kepada Presiden Jokowi. Jokowi pun hanya menasihati dirinya untuk menjaga kesehatannya selalu.
“Enggak permintaan (khusus) cuman nasihat dari Pak Presiden supaya jaga kesehatan karena saya bilang umur saya sudah 70 tahun jadi ya sakit-sakit kan biasa, namanya orang umur 70 sekarang sakit-sakit kan biasa. Dulu gak begini kan, jadi suruh jaga kesehatan itu saja,” ujarnya.
