Wakil walikota Dumai : Eko Suharjo

Celahkotanews.com || Dumai – Dikenal sebagai Kota pengekspor  terbesar Crude Plam Oil (CPO) di Dunia. Ternyata tidak membuat bangga pemerintah kota Dumai. Pasalnya tidak sepeserpun hasil dari ekspor minyak dari kepala sawit itu masuk ke kas daerah. Dumai hanya sebatas penonton saja di Kota sendiri.

Hal itu diungkapkan Wakil Walikota Dumai, Eko Soeharjo, Jumat (30/9) kemarin.

Perusahaan nasional maupun internasional yang berdiri di Kota Dumai, menurut wawako tidak membawa dampak dan kontribusi yang cukup signifikan bagi kota yang dikenal dengan kota Industri ini.

“Kami tidak bangga dengan catatan pencapaian Dumai sebagai daerah pengekspor sawit terbesar di dunia karena selama ini tidak ada pengaruhnya dengan Dumai sendiri. Kami selama ini hanya menjadi penonton di kampung sendiri,” sebut orang nomor dua di Kota Dumai ini.

Mantan anggota DPRD Provinsi Riau ini mengatakan memang tidak ada yang dapat dibanggakan Dumai dengan capaian yang selama ini, walaupun menjadi daerah dengan ekspor CPO terbesar di dunia, namun hingga saat ini APBD Dumai tetap paling kecil dari 12 Kabupaten/kota se Riau, jadi tidak ada yang bisa dibanggakan.

Disebutnya, Dumai hanya mendapatkan polusi dari berdirinya perusahaan-perusahaan besar yang ada di Dumai namun tidak ada dana bagi hasil atas capaian Dumai selama ini. ”Ini yang akan kami upayakan bagaimana dumai bisa mendapat bagi hasil dari ekpsor CPO yang ada,” terangnya.

Dirinya yakin, walaupun dengan APBD yang rendah, namun ketika ada dana lain yang bisa dijadikan sumber untuk pembangun kota Dumai, maka Dumai akan menjadi kota yang benar-benar makmur. ”Sekali lagi saya tidak bangga sama sekali dengan ekspor CPO yang besar ini,” sebutnya.

Upaya-upaya, menyampaikan ke pemerintah pusat terus dilakukan, agar Dumai bisa mendapatkan hasil dari ekspor CPO. ”Saatnya masyarakat bersama-sama pemerintah untuk memperjuangkan ini, karena ini untuk kepentingan dumai bersama,” tutupnya.(ckn)
