CelahkotaNEWS.com || DUMAI–Tempat pembuangan Sampah akhir (TPA) yang dimiliki Kota Dumai diprediksi masih mampu menampung sampah dari belasan Tempat Pembuangan Sampah ( TPS ) yang ada dimasing masing Kecamatan Sekota Dumai, Rabu (11/07/2018)
” Insyaallah kapasitas TPA yang terletak diBukit Timah masih mampu menampung sampah yang diangkut oleh petugas hingga 2-3 tahun mendatang.” Ujar Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup melalui Kabid Kebersihan Yudha Pratama
Katanya luasan TPA ada sekitar 10 Hektare , dan separuh luasan sudah terpakai.Diperkirakan TPA masih bisa menampung sampah hingga 2-3 tahun lagi.Untuk mengusulkan perluasan lahan kita harus mengajukan ke Pemerintah Pusat.
Apalagi sistem pengelolaan sampah di lokasi TPA memakai sistem sanitary landfill, atau sampah dibuang dan ditumpuk di lokasi cekung, setelah padat baru ditimbun dengan tanah.
Setiap hari ada sebanyak 248 petugas yang bekerja mengumpulkan 156 meter kubik sampah yang tersebar di sejumlah kecamatan perkotaan untuk diangkut ke tempat pembuangan akhir.
Volume sampah dihasilkan tiap hari mencapai 156 meter kubik, dan petugas angkut mengambilnya di semua kantong atau bak sampah di sepanjang jalan protokol, pemukiman dan pasar.
Untuk mengatasi persoalan sampah yang ada ditps agar tidak berserakan kebadan jalan yudha berharap agar masyarakat lebih peduli untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya bukan diluar tempatnya.(die)
