Kegiatan di hadiri Wakil Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo,Dandim 0320/Dumai Letkol Inf Horas Sitinjak, S.I.P, Kadis Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Kota Dumai Hadiyono, S.Hut, MM,Kepala UPT Perlindungan Tanaman Pangan Prov. Riau Yusri,SP.l,Ketua Komisi II DPRD Kota Dumai Petria Nespita, Anggota Komisi II DPRD dan Ketua KTNA Kota Dumai Ponimin, Kasdim 0320/Dumai Mayor Arh Sudiyono, Pasi Ter Dim, Danramil 02/Bukit Kapur, Camat Bukit Kapur Samsir, S.Sos, Staf KPP Kota Duami, Lurah Bukit Kayu Kapur, PPL Bukit Kapur, Guru dan Siswa/i SMKN 3 Dumai dan Ketua Poktan serta Anggota Poktan Kebun Jaya serta Undangan.
Kadis KPP Kota Dumai Hadiyono, S.Hut, MM,dalam sambutanya mengatakan Melihat hasil Perdana tanaman bawang sangat bangga, karena hasilnya sangat baik. Kegiatan ini merupakan bantuan dari APBD Kota Dumai tahun 2017, dimana pada bulan Oktober 2017 Anngota Poktani yang ada di Kota Dumai melaksanakan belajar tanaman bawang di Solok Sumbar.
“Pertama Kami bangga dengan keberhasilan para petani,yang telah berhasil dan bisa melaksakan panen perdana dengan sempurna,”ujar Hadiono
Selanjutnya Poktan Kebun Jaya dengan Ketua Bapak Niam Wahid melaksanakan penanaman bawang merah pada tanggal 30 Oktober 2017 dan sekarang sudah berumur 65 hari pada tanggal 4 Januari 2018 sudah siap panen.
Dimana dengan luas lahan 0,5 Ha dengan bibit 500 Kg dan hasil yang didapat sebanyak 4,5 Ton. Semoga kedepannya kegiatan ini akan kita tingkatkan kembali untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani.
Dandim 0320/Dumai Letkol Inf Horas Sitinjak, S.I.P, menyampaikan bahwa tiga hari yang lalu saya kepasar Pulau Payung menanyakan harga bawang di pasar, dari pedagang ditawari bawang merah dari Sumbar, Sumut dan Brebes Jawa Tengah, bawang Dumai belum ada. Dan sekarang telah kita buktikan bahwa di Poktan Kebun Jaya kita hari ini melaksanakan panen bawang merah dengan luas 0,5 Ha.
Harapan Kita bisa meningkatkan Swasembada pangan di Kota Dumai, sehingga kita tidak lagi ketergantungan dari daerah luar dan kita jangan malu untuk menjadi petani. Karena kalau kita tekuni dan mengikuti prosedur yang benar petani akan lebih besar pengahasilannya dibandingkan dengan Pegawai Negeri.
Pada kesempatan itu Wakil Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo, S.E, menyampaikan bahwa pangan harus dipersiapkan,tanpa kita siapkan ketahanan pangan sulit untuk kita tingkatkan, Bicara kedaulatan pangan panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo beberapa waktu yang lalu ikut panen di Kabupaten Siak.
Salah satu menjaga Indonesia kita harus menyiapkan ketahanan pangan dan penguatan dengan objeknya pertanian, serta perlu pendampingan dari segala lapisan baik dari Pemda, TNI dan Polri untuk mewujudkan ketahanan pangan.
Kegiatan ini kedepannya untuk kita tingkatkan kembali dari yang sudah ada sekarang dan di kembangkan di Kecamatan yang ada di Kota Dumai. Walaupun kegiatan panen bawang merah ini di guyur hujan para tamu undangan tetap semangat melaksanakan panen bawang merah. (Rls/ckn)
