“Kami telah melakukan pemeriksaan hewan kurban sejak H-14 jelang Idul Adha yang dilakukan oleh tim yang terdiri dari 15 dokter hewan,” kata plt Kepala Dinas Peternakan Hadiono ketika dikonfirmasi
Dia mengatakan, pemeriksaan dilakukan kebeberapa lokasi penjualan hewan kurban. Dari 40 tim yang disebar tidak menemukan hewan berpenyakit.
Data sementara jumlah hewan kurban yang sudah diperiksa 213 ekor sapi,144 ekor kambing, dan 8 ekor kerbau, pemeriksaan akan berlanjut
Kata Hadiono selama masih sakit akan diperiksa secara intensif dan belum bisa dikurban hingga sehat. “Pemeriksaan hewan untuk kurban ini meliputi mata, telinga, gigi dan suhu badan langsung dilakukan oleh tim dokter,” kata dia.
Dia mengungkapkan, pemeriksaan ini akan terus dilakukan hingga dua hari menjelang Idul Adha (H+2).Untuk hasil pemeriksaan hewan kurban baik sapi ataupun kambing masih dinyatakan aman dari virus serta dalam kondisi sehat.
Hal ini berdasarkan pemeriksaan yang dilakukan oleh tim di sejumlah tempat penjualan hewan meskipun belum semuanya.Bagi penjual yang hewan kurbannya telah diperiksa oleh tim, akan diberi stiker yang nantinya sebagai bukti bahwa hewan itu telah diperiksa.
“Stiker ini sebagai tanda bahwa hewan kurban yang dijual oleh pedagang sudah diperiksa dalam kondisi aman serta layak jual,” kata dia.
Dia mengimbau kepada seluruh pedagang hewan kurban untuk tetap memperhatikan kondisi kebersihan kandang supaya hewan yang dijual tidak terserang penyakit.(pie)
