Dua sekawan begal bersamurai tersebut berhasil ditangkap aparat Polsek Senapelan di sebuah rumah di Jalan Pesisir, Kelurahan Meranti Pandak, Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir. Penangkapan itu sendiri sukses dilakukan petugas hanya hitungan jam usai kejadian. Menurut Kepala Unit Reserse Kriminal Polsek Senapelan, Ipda Abdul Halim, selain menciduk para tersangka, diamankan juga barang bukti sebilah samurai serta satu unit sepeda motor Satria FU nopol BM 6108 AX yang merupakan motor hasil rampasan tersangka.
“Sewaktu kita tangkap, kedua tersangka sedang mempreteli sepeda motor Satria FU milik korban. Dari kedua tersangka ini, salah satunya yakni tersangka Dedi Putra juga seorang residivis kasus curanmor. Dia ( Dedi Putra) sudah lima kali melakukan aksi curanmor di Pekanbaru serta satu pembegalan disertai perampasan sepeda motor,” ujarnya kepada riauterkini.com, Sabtu (05/11/16).
Abdul menjelaskan, dari kedua tersangka yang diringkus oleh pihaknya itu, dalang utamanya juga adalah tersangka Dedi Putra. Pasalnya, yang bersangkutan berperan langsung sebagai ‘eksekutor’ saat merampas motor korban yang menjadi sasarannya. Sedangkan rekannya, Iwan, hanya membantu mempreteli atau mengubah body sepeda motor yang telah berhasil dicuri.
“Dalam menjalankan aksinya, tersangka Dedi juga membekali diri dengan sebilah samurai lalu mengancam korbannya jika melawan. Modusnya, tersangka menghampiri korban yang jadi targetnya, kemudian tersangka berpura-pura minta tolong diantarkan pulang ke rumah atau pergi ke suatu tempat. Di tengah perjalanan, barulah tersangka mengancam korban pakai samurai, mengambil motor korban lalu meninggalkan korban begitu saja,” terangnya panjang lebar.
Atas perbuatannya, sambung Abdul, para tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 365 KUHP dengan ancaman hukuman 9 tahun penjara.(rt/ckn)
