DUMAI – Seperti memberikan firasat. Kepada sejumlah teman dekat, almarhum Wakil Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo sempat menyampaikan keinginnannya untuk pulang ke Dumai pada hari Rabu (25/11/2020). Hari dimana almarhum Eko Suharjo berpulang ke Rahmatullah.
“Sebelum masuk ruang HCU, almarhum sempat bercerita tentang obat yang dikonsumsinya. Obat tersebut akan habis pada hari Selasa. Dan dia (almarhum) ingin pulang pada hari Rabu atau saat obat terssbut sudah habis,” kata Hendri, salah seorang teman dekat almarhum di rumah duka, Rabu (25/11/2020).
Wakil Walikota yang juga Calon Walikota Dumai Eko Suharjo Berpulang ke Rahmatullah pada Rabu (25/11) sekitar pukul 02.15 WIB. Eko Suharjo tutup usia di umur 46 tahun di Rumah Sakit Awal Bros Panam Pekanbaru.
Eko Suharjo dirawat intensif terkait Covid-19 di Awal Bros Panam sejak tanggal 7 November 2020. Setelah menjalani isolasi dan perawatan intensif, dinyatakan negatif Covid 19 pada 13 November 2020.
Meski sudah negatif Covid 19, almarhum harus tetap menjalani isolasi dan perawatan. Karena penyakit diabetes dan jantung yang dideritanya selama ini.
Pada Sabtu (21/11/2020) kondisi kesehatannya kembali memburuk dan harus dirawat di ruangan High Care Unit. Pada Senin (23/11/2020) terpaksa dirujuk ke ruang Intensive Care Unit (ICU) karena kondisinya tak kunjung berubah. Pada Rabu (25/11/2020) dinihari sekira pukul 02.15 WIB menghembuskan nafas terakhir.
“Keinginan pulang pada hari Rabu itu seperti memberikan firasat. Selain keluarga, saya dan beberapa teman dekat bergantian menjaga almarhum,” papar Hendri berkaca-kaca.
Ia menyebutkan, sepekan sebelum almarhum berpulang sempat menemani almarhum. Dan pada hari Senin (23/11/2020) malam diminta almarhum untuk pulang ke Dumai.
“Pesan itu baru tadi malam saya sampaikan. Tak sampai satu jam pesan itu disampaikan, datang kabar duka yang menyebut almarhum sudah berpulang,” lanjut Hendri. (amb)
